Biography
Paul Teneyuque is a West Texas singer/songwriter who plays guitar and bass who was born in Lubbock, Texas. Paul began playing the guitar in his teens and soon started writing his own songs. He was one of the founding members of Peyote which won 2nd place in the battle of the bands in Texas in 1976. He then wound up playing bass for various Texas bands which took him to New Mexico, Colorado, Louisiana. He has shared the stage with notables Shake Russell, Joe Ely, David Allan Coe, Lloyd Maines, Styx, John Batdorf, Bob Cheevers and many other Texas songwriters and performers.
In 1986 he got married and left the music and the road behind. But In 1995 he formed a band with two of his brothers called Stonepillow. They played around the Austin area and released one CD in 2001. It can be found at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/stonepillow
After one of his brothers was almost killed in a train accident the group disbanded.
Paul Teneyuque is now headquartered in Austin. He played in several Austin bands until 2010 when he decided to pursue a solo career. In the 2010 ASG (Austin Songwriters Group) Spring Song Contest, Paul earned an honorable mention in the Rock/Alternative genre for his song Barrio Poet.
