Biography
Mitchell Rambo was born October 3, 1988 and raised in Lubbock, TX by his parents Dirk & Jan Rambo with older sister Lindsey Rambo. He graduated from Coronado High School in 2007. Rambo started playing guitar when I was 11 years old. His inspirations came from Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, B.B. King, and most classic rock bands, so blues and rock are his passions. He took lessons on and off until he reached college. He also grew up doing sports, mainly football, and when he reached junior high he realized that music was more important to him than sports. He started playing in my first band when he was about 14, they were called Ozwald. They were a punk band who played around Lubbock for a couple years. In high school the band fizzled out and he started playing a lot of acoustic music by himself. During that time, Rambo received a call from a friend asking if he wanted to be in a metal band. He went and jammed with them, and later joined them. This band, called the Archers toured around the southern U.S., mainly Texas though. They had decent success in the metal scene for 3-4 years, but were wanting to go in different directions, so Rambo ended up leaving that band. During that time, he had graduated high school and was attending South Plains College for Commercial Music, and working at Guitar Center. He edged his way into the Red Dirt scene through some co-workers. He filled in for lead guitarists and bassists for a while and ended up joining a band called No Dry County. They worked and toured extensively, recorded a couple of E.P.s, and were getting a respectable following. He ended up leaving No Dry County so he could work on his own personal music in December of 2013. While playing with No Dry Country, he had transferred to Texas Tech University to continue studying guitar.
