Biography
Justin Alverson was born in Hillsboro, TX. and raised 10 miles North in Itasca, TX., home of the Fighting Wampus Cats. He started learning to play guitar and drums around the age of 5, and started playing drums professionally with his Dad's band at the age of 12. After High School, he enlisted in the United States Army and served 4 years. Once out of the Army he came back to Arlington, TX and began playing guitar professionally in 1993. When not on the road, he would work in music stores selling guitars.
Justin Alverson has played for Johnny Lee, Janie Fricke, Jim Lauderdale, Cory Morrow, Clay Blaker, Tommy Alverson, Houston Marchman and Ed Burleson. He started working for Guitar Center in 2005 at the Ft. Worth location, moved to Arlington in October of 2005, then moved to Central Dallas as a Sales Manager in 2007, and in January of 2008 his wife, two children and himself moved to Lubbock where they currently reside. He is currently still working at Guitar Center Lubbock and is a part of the band, Circus Bear Trickery. ( Source Guitar Center Lubbock)
